The most recent directives from Metropolitan JOSEPH regarding how we have services during this continuing pandemic now give us permission to have two servers at the altar in addition to the priest, but we are still limited to two chanters and, following local directives for Montgomery County, the number of people who can gather remains at ten. We are also having an additional service during the week and appointments can be made for receiving Communion from the reserved Sacrament. Please contact Fr. Nicholas to let him know when you will be coming to church in person. We will continue to live-stream services for those remaining at home.
We will celebrate the great feast of Pentecost on June 7 and will finally, God willing, be able to welcome Svetlana Osadchlk into the Holy Orthodox Church through the Sacrament of Chrismation. We will also observe the Vigil of Pentecost on Saturday, June 6, at 6PM. The Pentecost Vigil Mass is much like the Paschal Vigil, with a series of Old Testament readings, the Blessing of the Font and the singing of the Litany.
Holy Trinity Sunday is June 14 and we will celebrate the Sunday in the Octave of Corpus Christi on June 21.
